The health, safety and wellbeing of the children in our care is our number one concern and priority. Bullcreek Leeming Scout Group carefully follows all requirements of the Scouts Australia and Scouts WA child protection system which is designed to protect children from all potential harm. Scouts Australia requires all adults applying to join the Association to satisfy Working with Children Check (WWCC) arrangements; consent to a Police and Character Check and as well as undertake a suitability interview by a local community committee. All adult members of Scouts in Australia have completed the Child Safe Scouting training course with the Scout Central Training Branch in addition to comprehensive and on-going training in dealing with children.

Scouts WA also follows the WA State Legislative requirement of all volunteers who work with children five (5) times or more in a year to obtain a Working with Children Card. Further to this if an adult will be involved with an overnight activity they must also obtain a WWCC.

Bullcreek Leeming Scout Group has copies of WWCC application forms available to its volunteers to aid their possession of a valid WWCC.

If you have any concerns about the safety of your child please talk to a leader immediately.
